CPR classes are for anyone who wants to learn the basic skills needed to help adults, children and/or infants during cardiac emergencies, whether they occur at home, at school, or in their communities. BLS, on the other hand, is more comprehensive since itβs designed primarily for healthcare workers and/or first responders, like police officers and firefighters. BLS certification covers everything that CPR classes cover β but includes additional life-saving techniques that can help those experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, or an obstructed airway
